A. F. Joffe. Lectures on Molecular Physics. Petrograd, 215 pp.
Publishing House of M. and S. Sabashnikov, 1919.

Joffe’s book belongs to the series of handbooks on physics published by the Russian Association of Physicists, and is an excellent textbook within the scope of a general university course.

Understanding molecular physics as the study of the properties of matter in its various states, in connection with molecular theory, Joffe consistently sets forth in his course the modern views on matter and gives a clear and complete picture of the simplest transformations of matter.

The book is written in a manner entirely accessible to the average student of a higher school and deserves recommendation for anyone who wishes to acquire clear ideas about the modern doctrine of matter.
