Proceedings of the Institute of Physicochemical Analysis, edited by N. S. Kurnakov and B. N. Menshutkin. Vol. I, issue 1, Petrograd, 1919.

The extensive (300 pp.) first issue of the Proceedings contains an article by N. S. Kurnakov explaining the tasks of the Institute of Physicochemical Analysis. Further, this issue contains a number of original works carried out at the Institute; the issue concludes with articles by Le Chatelier on solutions.

There is no need for us to dwell on the significance of the Institute and its work for the development of questions of physicochemical analysis, and we can only welcome an institution which, amid a number of difficulties, succeeds in carrying on intensive and purposeful scientific investigation.
