On the Value of the Mechanical Equivalent of Heat

In their communication the authors give the following table of values for the mechanical equivalent of heat:

Thus the value for the mechanical equivalent of heat (between \(0^\circ\) and \(50^\circ\)) given by the Phys.-Techn. Reichsanstalt is \(4.184_2\) joules at \(15^\circ \mathrm{C}\), and not 4.188 at \(15^\circ \mathrm{C}\), as was given in the preliminary communication.
