Under your leadership, the Department of Machine Tools and Metal Cutting successfully trains highly qualified engineers and scientific workers and is the best department of the faculty.
Your constant and active participation in the life of the industrial enterprises of Tomsk and other regions of Siberia, your extensive public work, your high pedagogical mastery, and your successful training of scientific personnel serve for us as an example worthy of emulation.
We are confident that, following the path indicated by the great Stalin, working under the leadership of the party of Lenin—Stalin, you will continue actively to promote the flourishing of the most advanced science in the world—Soviet science.
We wish you, Aleksandr Mineevich, many years of life and fruitful activity for the good and prosperity of our socialist Fatherland.
The collective of scientific workers and teaching-support staff of the Mechanical Faculty.
MOST ESTEEMED ALEKSANDR MINEEVICH!
The Directorate, the Party and public organizations, the professorial and teaching staff, and the students of the Tomsk Polytechnic Institute named after S. M. Kirov, holder of the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, warmly greet and congratulate you on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of your birth and the 25th anniversary of your scientific and pedagogical activity.
Having been head of the department from the first days of its founding, you set the department’s work on the right course and organized within the institute a splendidly equipped laboratory for the cutting of metals, on the basis of which broad scientific research work has been developed and scientific and engineering personnel are being trained.
As head of the department and as a lecturer, you, Aleksandr Mineevich, have devoted no small amount of labor to developing the methodology for teaching specialized courses.
You have opened new paths in the science of metal cutting by creating the Siberian school of cutting, and you are contributing to the training of hundreds of highly qualified specialists who are successfully working in factories, in educational institutions, and in research institutes of our country.
During the years of the Great Patriotic War, your initiative and direct leadership made it possible to organize within the institute substantial and essential assistance to the front.
The systematically conducted department courses for production speed-cutting workers, the conferences on high-speed metal cutting, in the organization and work of which you take the most active part, and your daily direct assistance to the Tomsk factories are an example of the creative connection and fellowship of science with production.
On the days when the results of your scientific, pedagogical, and public activity over 25 years are being summed up, we sincerely wish you many years of life, health, and success in further fruitful work for the benefit of our great socialist Motherland.
